The Norwegian network operator Norkring has signed an agreement with Paneda for DAB multiplexing. The new agreement enables both parties to offer complete solutions for DAB multiplexing and transmission. Paneda and Norkring started the new agreement by launching two new multiplexers in the regions Nordhordaland and Østfold. The agreement is mainly intended to offer the Paneda Cloud system to the market, where Norkring manage and offers DAB Broadcast services including transmission and Paneda manage the DAB multiplexing system. For end users this enables a complete solution provided as a turn-key system from Norkring, from audio source to on-air.

The Cloud system enables an almost hardware free setup for multiplexing, and Paneda delivers a “ready to transmit” signal to Norkring main site, for further distribution in the transmission network. The platform offers each user in the system a web based user interface for managing their own services, based on the specified capacity. Each user can for example easily upload their own metadata as text and pictures as well as monitoring their own services.

Lars-Peder Lundgren, Sales Manager at Paneda says: “Norkring is a key player in the area of DAB, and we are pleased to have this agreement in place, like Norkring we are also focusing on our core business to develop brilliant DAB systems. Norkring is a perfect partner for us that enables a complete solution for Digital Radio ”
