Czech Republic expand DAB nationwide
Linköping, Sweden 2025-03-05 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Czech Republic is investing heavily in DAB.
Several players have now received their permits to build DAB networks, and most have already started their transmissions. One of the larger players is the network operator RTI cz, which has 25 DAB transmitters in operation and plans for a further 8 during the year, in nine different regions, which will offer 80% population coverage.
RTI cz has ordered nine DAB multiplexer systems from Paneda, with full redundancy and with a system for inserting dynamic metadata. Paneda has delivered and installed the system, which uses the latest developed platform based on the Docker containerized system, which enables a flexible and scalable platform for RTI.
Lars-Peder Lundgren, CEO at Paneda Sweden says:
“- Paneda has been active in the Czech market for a long time, and it is of course satisfying that this is now yielding results. RTI is one of the key players and we are proud to have been entrusted with delivering our DAB platform.”
Andrea Jančová, Office Manager at RTI says,
“- We are extremely impressed by the knowledge that Paneda shows and at the same time shares the great experience they have. Paneda has been helpful throughout the process and together we have found a system solution that suits us perfectly, and that is easy for us to manage.”
