Paneda has completed the installation of DAB radio with break-in system in the Kvaenangsfjell Tunnel. Spanning 3350 meters, the tunnel connects Nordreisa and Kvaenangen on E6 in the northern region of Troms, Norway. This critical infrastructure development was completed to traffic on December 15, 2023.
The Kvaenangsfjell mountain pass has historically faced frequent closures due to severe weather conditions, significantly impacting transportation in the region. Prior to the tunnel’s construction, the primary alternative route involved navigating through E8 in Finland.
This project is deemed essential for facilitating reliable and uninterrupted travel in the northern parts of Norway, significantly enhancing connectivity and accessibility.
